Ginger is helpful in preventing motion sickness. In one study individuals given ginger wre able to tolerate motion 57% longer than those given Dramamine. The recommended amount is 1500 mg., the amount found in 12 ounces of ginger ale (must contain ginger, no artificial flavoring). Ginger capsules are also available.
